WHERE
The home-base hotel will be located in Alpine, CA, Palo Alto, CA, or Warrenton, VA, depending on camp date.
Alpine is located 25 miles east of San Diego, CA, and still retains some appearance of an old west town. Alpine, however, is modern and has many services within walking distance for its growing population. The town is located at 1,900 feet elevation, and has many surrounding traffic-free roads, which take in the Southern California coastal range scenery.
Palo Alto is located about 35 miles of San Francisco, CA, situating the cyclist in a virtual riding paradise, with long climbs that yield stunning views of both the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. If those views don't motivate you, a ride through the redwood groves surrounding this quaint college town will.
Warrenton is located about 50 miles west of Washington, DC and offers the cyclist access to two-lane country roads at the foothills to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Roll through pastures and wine country while tackling some of the East Coast's best climbing.
Lodging in Alpine, Palo Alto, and Warrenton is centrally located for all campers.

WHEN
Cyclists will fly into San Diego International Airport/Lindbergh Field to arrive in Alpine, San Francisco Internatiol Airport to arrive in Palo Alto, or Washington Dulles to arrive Warrenton, VA, ready to meet Sunday at 8pm for a precamp talk. (Note: 8pm Wednesday for weekend camps.) Those paying for airport-to-camp shuttle through online registration will have the option of 2 pickups on the day prior to camp: one pickup at the airport at 5pm and an additional pickup at a hotel near the airport for campers who arrive on days prior. The shuttle will make a return journey to the airport and various requested points in Downtown San Diego, San Francisco, and Dulles on Friday evening and Saturday morning (Sunday evening for weekend camps) for those that pay for this service. Please arrange flights accordingly. Many choose to rent cars for flexibility during the week. Further information about the meeting point will be provided to registered campers.
The 8pm precamp talk will be located at the designated home-base hotel. Cyclists will be ready to ride at 8am on Monday. (Note: Thursday for weekend camps.)
Length of camp is determined by dates chosen. Cyclists are welcome and encouraged to fly in earlier to do further riding or vacationing in and around San Diego, San Francisco, and Washington, DC. More information will be provided to registered campers.

EXCELLENT VALUE
This camp will provide high-value, heavy impact training at a competitive cost. In order to keep costs manageable, Cycling Camp San Diego will have designated lunch-stop or short refueling areas via SAG on all the rides or after the rides each day. It is up to the cyclist to either bring money for lunch or pack their own lunches. Snacks will be complementary. The home-base hotel will provide a continental breakfast and all rooms should have a microwave, toaster, and refrigerator for those campers who wish to make their own meals.
Certified coaches will ride with the campers and will be available for Q & A throughout the camp. Riders who can fix minor mechanical problems will be present on many rides. In case of a mechanical failure, campers will be directed or transported to a bike shop after the riding is complete for the day.
