Training Philosophy
By choosing an endurance coach, one is making a large time and mental commitment to better themselves in an endurance sport. The main goal will hopefully be my main overall goal: progressive gains based on sound coaching philosophies. There are no short-cuts, just time and hard work, but it does not have to be inconvenient.
Athletes must make a commitment to read materials assigned to them, complete their logs, and undergo testing, as needed. They must also commit to riding with me, or communicating with me via e-mail or phone as often as necessary.
Coaching is a positive step in any endurance athlete’s approach. A coach is a sounding board, motivator, and time manager. I am open to athlete suggestions and expect them to be open to my suggestions.
As I think long-term, I would expect my athletes to think long-term, as well. Goals must be defined and revisited on a 6-month basis and adjusted, as needed.
