BASE CAMP FOR EXPERIENCED RACERS February 17 to 19, 2012
This camp is designed for existing racers who want to improve their game. You’ll join a team of other experienced racers and be treated as a pro team for 3 days. Riding as a group you will have a team car with you at all times and you will be subject to a rigorous training routine along with intensive race skills clinics. Expect to come away from this camp a better racer!

WHERE
The home-base hotel will be located in Fallbrook.
Fallbrook is located 50 miles north of San Diego, CA, and places the cyclist in a quaint town that has access to some of the greatest valleys and climbs that the North County has to offer. The town is located at 700 feet elevation, but don't let that deceive you—in a day's roundtrip ride, we'll reach peaks over 5,000 feet.
Lodging in Fallbrook is centrally located for all athletes.

WHEN
Cyclists will fly into San Diego International Airport/Lindbergh Field to arrive in Fallbrook ready to meet Thursday at 8pm for a precamp talk located at the designated home-base hotel. Cyclists will be ready to ride at 8am on Friday. Many choose to rent cars for flexibility during the week. Further information will be provided to registered athletes.
Cyclists are welcome and encouraged to fly in earlier to do further riding or vacationing in and around San Diego. Stay around for the following week to take part in the week long base camp in Fallbrook.
MILEAGE AND CLIMBING
Daily mileage will be around 70 miles. There will be a good amount of climbing each day (between 4,000 and 8,000 feet). The idea of the camp is base miles—this cannot be stressed enough regarding pace.
AFFORDABILITY AND HIGH-VALUE
This camp is intended to be cost-effective. A SAG vehicle will be provided, Pro-style. There will no prearranged meals and continental breakfast available at the hotel. The SAG vehicle will provide complementary sponsor provided energy bars, gels, and drinks. Cyclists can placed their own nutrition products in the SAG vehicle as well. The home-base hotel will provide a continental breakfast and some rooms will have a refrigerator upon request.
Certified coaches will ride with the campers and will be available for Q & A throughout the daily ride. Additional clinics will be held before and after the daily riding schedule. This will be an intensive educational experience, so please be prepared to listen, learn and ask questions both during riding, clinics, and during meals.
ROAD BIKE RENTALS
